Guest Service Ambassador

We are looking to hire a professional and upbeat individual to provide quality Hospitality service to the guests at Muskoka Bay Resort.

 

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Must live within commuting distance to the resort, no staff housing available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet all guests in a friendly and welcoming manor. 

  • Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key

  • Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. Process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges

  • Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns in a timely manor.

  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in, notifying Housekeeping of late departures, early arrival and special requests.

  • Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and dispatch Porter or Transportation Ambassadors as needed.

  • Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest. Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy

  • Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system. Count cash float at the beginning and end of shift. Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.

  • Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the Front Desk and Heart of House. Monitor the neatness of the lobby.

  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

 

Qualifications: 

  • 2 years  of Front Desk Agent/Guest Services is preferred

  • 2 years of Customer service is preferred

  • Previous Hotel experience is preferred

  • Flexibility with working overnight shifts on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

  • Self-motivated, friendly, upbeat, outgoing, mature person who thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills/Customer focused and detail oriented.

  • Organizational skills, ability to multi-task with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • · Knowledge of computers and cash handling experience an asset
