Night Auditor

We are looking to hire a professional and upbeat individual to provide quality Hospitality service to the guests at Muskoka Bay Resort.

 

Job Type: Part-time (Full-time can be accommodated)

 

Hours: 11pm- 7am (Flexibility with working overnight shifts on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.)

 

Salary: $17.00-20.00 per hour

 

Must live within commuting distance to the resort, no staff housing available.

Key Responsibilities:

​

  • Prepare an accurate daily Revenue Report. 

  • Run audit reports/journals from the front office system, Point of Service, and the computer. 

  • Make corrections and adjustments. 

  • Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys

  • Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. Process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges, guests may have. 

  • Maintain an open line of communication with the Housekeeping and Maintenance Team, ensuring the readiness of rooms for check-in. 

  • Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.

  • Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest. Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy

  • Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system. Cash guests' personal checks and traveler's checks. Count bank at the beginning and end of shift. Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.

  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment.

  • Notify Housekeeping of late departures, early arrival, special requests, and day rooms Report any unusual occurrences or requests to your Guest Services Supervisor or Manager

  • Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the Front Desk and Heart of House. Monitor the neatness of the lobby.

  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors

Qualifications:

  • Front Desk Agent/Guest Services or Admin positions - 2 years (preferred)

  • Customer Service experience - 2 years (preferred) 

  • Flexibility with working overnight shifts on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

  • Self-motivated, friendly, upbeat, outgoing, mature person who thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Previous Hotel experience is ideal

  • Excellent interpersonal skills/Customer focused and detail oriented.

  • Organizational skills, ability to multi-task with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Professionalism and reliability.

  • Excellent communications skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Knowledge of computers and cash handling experience an asset

  • Professional attitude and appearance

  • Must be a team player
